So, I craft Kente cloth earrings are round shape. Yoyo style of print fabric design. These tribal earrings are light. I use fabric offcuts to make Yoyo fabric earrings. So, even with the natural cowrie shells they are still light weight.
What materials make lightweight fabric earrings?
Now, I craft Kente cloth earrings to be lightweight using fabric offcuts. Here in this video, I take you through my craft studio process. To start, I cut my card stock to the desired shape.
After cutting my card stock, I lay the shapes onto print fabric and apply glue. Thereafter, I create holes to hold the metal parts.
How do you create earrings in an ethical way?
To make my jewelry more sustainable, I craft my earrings using fabric off-cuts. Also, I create jewellery by re-purposing, cardstock. So, by rescuing fabric off cuts, I avoid waste. So, my creative process is both ethical and sustainable and safe for the environment.
